About
Hi there, I'm Bella, a passionate cinematographer & photographer.
Growing up on Waiben (Thursday Island) with Torres Strait Islander and Chinese Heritage gave me a deep appreciation for cultural diversity and storytelling. After completing my studies in anthropology at UQ, I was drawn towards videography, which allows me to blend my curiosity for people with my love for visual storytelling.
My heritage and studies give me a unique perspective, helping me connect with people from all walks of life and tell their stories with authenticity and respect. I find fulfilment in collaborating with and learning about people in the process to ensure that each story feels true to the people it’s about.
So far, my style leans towards documentary film making and I often find myself working with Indigenous groups usually around themes of culture, art and sustainability. I am drawn to these jobs not only due to the people and themes but also because of their outdoor and dynamic nature, I love being outdoors and exploring new environments!
